The goal of Impact Kids is to reach and educate the underprivileged, orphaned and at risk children, with quality, caring Christian education.
- 4.7 million South Africans are totally illiterate and have never attended school.
- It is approximated that 50,000 of South Africa’s teachers would die of AIDS-related illnesses before 2010.
- One-half of women who were raped before the age of 15 identified their attacker as a teacher.
- South African students were asked whether they felt safe when they were at school, and if they had experienced incidents of stealing, bullying and injury to themselves or to others. According to the study, only 23 percent felt safe.
Impact Kids will be a place of refuge for children living in the cities squatter camps. A school environment where the kids can rely on a family....a place where love is unconditional and real. Emphasis will be on the preschool and Kindergarten level to capture the little ones and give them a fresh beginning. One that is so essential to their success in latter school years and later in life.
